About us
Our Vision
Our vision is to make it easier for more people to enter the world of partner acrobatics. This sport teaches us to trust each other, communicate effectively, and most importantly, rediscover how to play, experiment, and be a child again—qualities that would benefit most people.
My first acro festival changed my life. The warmth of the community, where self-love and personal growth are so highly valued, was deeply moving. I truly and honestly believe that as more of these festivals emerge, they will make humanity a more loving and healthier place.
Our Journey & The Birth of ACROWORLD
My own acro journey began five years ago. I was eager to learn and teach, traveling through Central America and searching Facebook groups for anyone to play with. However, most groups were outdated or full of advertisements. I even lived in Puerto Viejo for two weeks before the AcroRica festival without ever knowing it existed. In short, it was incredibly hard to get into the community.
That's why I started ACROWORLD, a free and open platform where I’ve since gathered most acro events to help beginners find them.
A few years into my practice, I developed back problems from L-basing. This was due to my tight hamstrings and beginner technique. The saddest part was that I discovered, only months later, how easily this could have been prevented with a simple pillow under my back.
However, the pillows I found cost more than 100€, which I felt was too expensive for a basic tool. This, in my opinion, is probably why so many beginners ruin their backs instead of using a pillow. I had found my next problem to solve. With a well-paying job, my goal was not to make a living from this product, but to make it as affordable as possible to get it into the hands of as many acrobats as possible. At that point, I had already tried most pillows on the market and knew many acrobats and physiotherapists who could help me improve on existing designs.
From a Hobby to a Mission
Fast-forward to today, the BASE UP has improved the backs of so many people, and I’m always so happy to see it at jams in random cities around the world. The ball was rolling, and as people requested more items, like handstand blocks, I made it my hobby to improve the acro items already out there.
As the event platform grew, server costs began to add up. The shop became the perfect tool to fund the platform, so every acrobat who shops here is directly supporting a free platform and helping to grow this wonderful sport.
